The public authorities decided to create a NATIONAL INVESTMENT FUND resulting from the restructuring of the Algerian Development Bank for the purpose of promoting new instruments for state intervention in the field of development financing. This action enters within the completing of the process of financial and banking sector reform initiated by the State.
The 2009 complementary finance law has established this restructuring by modifying the appellation of BAD in INF while provisionally maintaining the articles of association of 1963 of the ADB and by providing the new institution with a capital of 150 billion DZD.
